Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Josahub's website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Josahub operates an online marketplace connecting renters, landlords, agents, and diaspora families seeking rental accommodation in Ghana. We provide listing, discovery, booking, and communication tools. Josahub is not a landlord, property manager, or real estate broker unless explicitly stated for a specific service.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You may not use the Platform if you are barred under applicable law.
Accounts & roles
Users may register as renters (students), landlords, or agents. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Listings & bookings
- Landlords and agents are solely responsible for the accuracy of listings, pricing, availability, and compliance with local housing laws.
- Bookings and payments facilitated through the Platform do not create a tenancy contract between Josahub and any user. Rental agreements are between the parties involved.
- We may review, reject, suspend, or remove listings that appear fraudulent, misleading, unsafe, or in violation of these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or discriminatory content
- Harass, spam, or attempt to defraud other users
- Circumvent platform fees, verification, or security measures
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Platform without permission
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
Payments
Where payments are enabled, transactions may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or Paystack. Their terms apply to payment processing. Josahub does not store full payment card numbers. Refunds and disputes for paid bookings are handled according to the listing terms and applicable provider policies.
Intellectual property
Josahub branding, software, and site content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. listing photos and descriptions) and grant us a non-exclusive license to display and promote that content on the Platform.
Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, listing accuracy, or suitability of any property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Josahub disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Josahub and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, property viewings, rental agreements, or interactions with other users.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from josahub.com/account/delete while signed in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to users or the Platform.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
